How to play Crazy Eights
Crazy Eights is the classic shedding card game for two. Each player gets seven cards; play one that matches the suit or the number of the top card of the discard pile, or draw from the pile when nothing fits. Every eight is wild: play it any time and name the new suit. The first player to empty their hand wins the round and scores the cards left in the other hand: 50 for an eight, 10 for a king, queen or jack, 1 for an ace and the face value for the rest. Reach the match goal to win.
Play against a computer opponent on Easy, Normal or Hard, or pass one device between two players with a hand-over screen that hides the cards. Switch on the twists (a two makes the other player draw two, a queen skips a turn), limit drawing to three cards, or change the match goal to 50 or 200. A daily deal gives everyone the same cards once a day.
Win rounds to earn coins and unlock four card decks with their own table colours. The cards use four suit colours and shapes so they are easy to tell apart, and everything can be played with the mouse, a finger or the keyboard. Your coins, decks and stats are saved on your device.
Controls
Mouse: click a glowing card to play it, click the pile to draw. Keyboard: Tab to the hand, arrows to move, Enter to play, D draws, H hint, M sound, P pause. After an eight press S, H, D or C.

FAQ
What does an eight do?
An eight is wild: you can play it on any card and you choose the suit the next player has to follow (or answer with another eight).
What if I cannot play a card?
Draw cards from the pile until you can play one. With the draw limit switched on you draw at most three cards and then pass. If the pile is empty the discard pile is reshuffled.
How is a round scored?
The winner scores the cards left in the other hand: eight 50, king, queen and jack 10, ace 1, the other cards their number. The first player to reach the match goal (100 by default) wins the match.
Can I play with a friend?
Yes. Choose 2 players on one device: a hand-over screen hides both hands between turns so nobody sees the other's cards.
Is Crazy Eights free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.
Can I play on my phone?
