How to play Hex Connect
Hex Connect is the classic connection game on a rhombus of hexagons. Blue joins the top and bottom edges, orange joins the left and right edges. You take turns placing one stone on any empty hex, stones never move, and the first unbroken chain between your two edges wins. A full board always has exactly one winner, so there are no draws.
Play against an easy, medium or hard bot, or pass the screen to a friend. Pick a 7, 9 or 11 sized board, and keep the optional swap rule on so the opening move stays fair: after the first stone the second player may take it over. Undo your last move, or ask for a hint: the first one of a game is free and more can be earned by watching a short video.
Your record per bot level is saved on your device. Everything runs in the browser, with no download and no account.

FAQ
Can a game end in a draw?
No. When every hex is filled, exactly one player has joined their two edges, so there is always a winner.
What does the swap rule do?
After the first stone, the second player may take it over (it becomes theirs, mirrored across the board). So the first player should not open with a very strong move.
How strong are the bots?
Easy plays loosely, medium follows the shortest path to win, and hard also tries thousands of random finishes before each move. Hard takes about a second on the 11 sized board.
Which board size should I use?
7 for a quick game, 9 as a balanced default, 11 is the classic size and the longest game.
Is Hex Connect free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. It runs on phones, tablets and computers. Tap a hex to place a stone. Buttons: Undo, Hint, Swap, Menu.
