How to play Word Wheel
Word Wheel gives you a ring of letters and a small crossword with empty squares. Drag your finger or mouse across the letters to spell a word and let go: if it belongs in the crossword it flips into place, and words that cross share their letters, so every answer helps the next one.
Words that are real but not in the crossword count as bonus words and pay extra coins at the end of the level. Shuffle the wheel when you are stuck, or spend coins on a hint that reveals one letter. Levels start with four letters and three words and grow to seven letters and ten words, and every few levels the colours change.
Come back every day for the daily puzzle and build a streak. Levels are made on the fly from a built-in word list, so there is always a new one, and your level, coins and stars are saved on your device. No account and no download.
Controls
Drag the mouse across the wheel letters, or type the letters. Enter sends the word, Backspace removes a letter, Space shuffles, Esc pauses.
Swipe a finger across the letters on the wheel and lift to spell a word. Tap the bulb for a hint and the centre button to shuffle.
FAQ
How do I spell a word?
Press on a letter and drag through the others in order, then let go. You can go back one letter by dragging back to the one before. On a keyboard just type the letters and press Enter.
What are bonus words?
Real words that can be made from the wheel but are not in the crossword. They are saved in the star list and pay 2 coins each when the level ends.
How do hints work?
A hint costs 20 coins and reveals one letter of the crossword. With too few coins you can watch an optional video to get one hint for free.
What is the daily puzzle?
One puzzle per day that is the same for everyone, with a bonus of coins and a streak for every day in a row you finish it.
Is Word Wheel free?
