How to play Cryptogram Decode
Cryptogram Decode is a classic letter-substitution puzzle. A short saying is written in code: every letter has been replaced by a different letter (or, in some levels, by a number), and the same symbol always means the same letter. No letter ever stands for itself. Select a symbol, type the letter you think it is, and every copy of it fills in at once. Short words, a lone letter, double letters and common endings are your best clues.
Play through endless levels that grow from short sayings with a few letters given to long ones with none, or take the daily puzzle and build a streak. A letter used twice turns red, Check marks wrong guesses, Undo takes back a move and Hint reveals a whole letter. Finish without help for three stars. Coins from every puzzle buy more hints, and an optional video gives two hints or doubles the coins.

Controls
Click a symbol, then type a letter or click one on the screen keyboard. Backspace erases, arrow keys move, Esc pauses. Tab and Enter work on the buttons.

How does a cryptogram work?
Every letter of the saying was swapped for another letter, always the same one. Find the swaps and the message appears. A letter never stands for itself.
What is the best way to start?
Look for one-letter words (A or I), short words such as THE, AND and TO, double letters and common endings like ING and ED, then work outwards.
What do the stars mean?
Three stars for a puzzle without hints or checks, two for up to two helps, one after that. Wrong full boards also count as a help.
How do I get more hints?
Finish puzzles without help (a three-star level gives a hint), spend 40 coins, or watch an optional video for two hints.
