How to play Word Chips
Word Chips is a relaxed word puzzle. Each level gives you seven clues and a board full of word chips: short groups of two or three letters such as BAS and KET. Tap the chips in the right order to spell each answer. Boxes next to every clue show how many chips it needs.
Chips can be sorted alphabetically or shuffled when the board looks stuck. A hint lights up the first chip of one open answer; you start with three, and more arrive after a short wait or when you finish a puzzle. Every puzzle is timed and your best time is saved.
There are 120 puzzles: the early ones have 18 chips and the later ones 24. Your progress and best times are saved on your device.
Controls
Click or tap chips. Backspace undoes, H hint, S sort, R shuffle, P pause, M mute.
Tap the chips to build each answer.
FAQ
How do I solve a clue?
Tap the chips in order so that they spell the answer. The boxes beside each clue show how many chips it uses.
What if I pick the wrong chips?
When the picked letters are longer than the longest answer of the puzzle, the pick clears. The cross button removes the last chip.
How do hints work?
A hint lights up the first chip of one open answer for a few seconds. You start with three; when they are used up a three minute countdown runs and then three more arrive, or finish a puzzle for an instant refill.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Your level progress and best times are stored on your device.
Is Word Chips free?
