How to play Table Rally
Table Rally is a table tennis game seen from behind your end of the table. Move the paddle to meet the ball, let it block safely, or click at the right moment for a fast smash. Where the ball meets the paddle and how fast you move sideways decide the direction and the spin of your return.
Play the tournament against eight opponents, from a patient defender to a quick all-rounder, each with their own speed, reactions and style. A game goes to eleven points with a two-point lead, the server changes every two points, and nets, long balls and balls the bot cannot reach are decided by the ball's real flight. You can replay any opponent you have beaten in a quick match, and after a lost match you may take an optional video for a three-point head start.
Your tournament progress, match record and settings are saved on your device, so you can close the tab and come back later. The game runs in the browser with no download and no account.
Controls
Move the mouse to move the paddle (up and down changes how far back you stand). Click or press Space to smash. P pauses, M mutes.
Drag to move the paddle, it floats above your finger. Tap the SMASH button just as the ball reaches the paddle. Swipe sideways while you hit to add spin.
FAQ
How do I win a match?
Be first to 11 points with a two-point lead. At 10-10 play on until someone is two points ahead.
What is the difference between a normal return and a smash?
If you do nothing the paddle blocks the ball back safely. A click (or the SMASH button) as the ball reaches the paddle sends it faster and tighter, but a badly timed smash can hit the net or go long.
How do I aim and add spin?
Meet the ball on the left or right of the paddle to steer it that way, and move the paddle sideways as you hit: a fast sideways move curves the ball and kicks it away after the bounce.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. The opponents you have beaten, your match record and the sound setting are saved on your device.
