How to play Archery Range

You aim by pressing and dragging the sight over the target, holding for a moment and letting go. Wind pushes every arrow and distance makes it drop, and the screen tells you how many rings of push and drop to allow for.

There are 24 ranges at 30, 50, 70 and 90 metres. Some have rings to score, some a cluster of balloons and some hanging apples, and from the second range on the target moves, so you must lead it. Each range gives up to three stars. Streak mode gives you three lives and one balloon at a time, each farther, smaller and windier than the last.

Stars unlock steadier and faster bows. Progress, best scores and settings are saved on your device, so you can close the tab and come back later. The game runs in the browser with no download and no account.

Controls

FAQ

How do I aim?

Press on the screen, drag to move the sight over the target, hold for about a third of a second so the bow is fully drawn, then release. Letting go too early cancels the shot.

How do I allow for the wind?

The wind panel shows how many scoring rings the wind will push the arrow and in which direction, and how many rings the arrow will drop. Aim that far the other way, above the spot for the drop and against the push.

What about moving targets?

The arrow needs about half a second or more to arrive, and the target keeps moving, so aim where it will be when the arrow lands.

How do I unlock bows and ranges?

Earn at least one star on a range to open the next one. Total stars unlock the Ash, Yew and Falcon bows, which shake less and fly faster.

Is Archery Range free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. It runs on phones, tablets and computers. Touch and drag to move the sight, hold a moment, lift your finger to shoot.
