How to play Drag Racing Club
Drag Racing Club is a side-view quarter-mile game about timing. A four-second countdown runs down the tree: hold the gas pedal to keep the rev needle in the green zone, and when the light turns green your car launches on its own with the revs you set. A perfect start is worth a bonus; a slow one costs seconds.
Once you are rolling you are the gearbox. Tap SHIFT when the needle reaches the green band near the redline: a perfect shift is almost lossless, a mistimed one stalls the engine for a moment, and the band gets narrower with every gear. Fire your single nitro burst where it helps most; upgrades make it last longer.
Each tier has quick races you can set to easy, medium or hard, a ranked ladder of 12 rivals, cars battles in identical loaned cars and a crew of 6 whose defeat unlocks the next tier. Prizes pay a bonus for the launch and for every perfect or good shift. Spend the cash in the garage on engine, gearbox, nitro, tires and weight for each of your 15 cars. Progress and your best time are saved on your device.
Controls
Hold Up / W / Space (or the GAS pedal) to rev before the green, tap the same key to shift. N: nitro. P or Esc: pause.
Hold the GAS button to rev, tap it again after the launch to shift up. Tap NITRO for the boost.
FAQ
How do I get a good start?
Hold GAS during the countdown and keep the needle inside the green zone of the gauge (about 70 percent of the redline). The car launches by itself on the green light. There is no false start.
How do I shift well?
Tap SHIFT when the needle is inside the green band near the top of the gauge. The band shrinks after every shift, so the last gears are the hardest. A bad shift costs up to a full second.
What is nitro for?
You get one nitro burst per race. Nitro upgrades make it last longer, from about one second to two. Use it in the middle gears where it hurts the opponent most.
How do I unlock the next tier?
Beat all 6 members of the crew in the crew battle of your current tier. Your car must belong to the tier you race in, so buy a car of that tier in the garage.
