How to play Artillery Duel
Artillery Duel is a turn-based cannon battle on hills that change as you fight. On your turn you choose the angle and the power of the shot, pick a weapon and fire. The wind pushes the shell, so every shot is a small puzzle: read the arrow at the top, aim a little into it, and watch the shell fly. Where it lands it digs a crater, and a cannon whose ground disappears drops down with it.
You have an unlimited shell, three heavy shells with a wide blast and two triple shots that cover more ground. Three clean hits are enough to win, but the wind and the shape of the landscape make that harder than it sounds. The computer works out the exact shot every time and then misses by a little, less and less as it gets better.
Play the campaign through stages with new landscapes, from sunny fields to dusk, desert and moonlight, with stronger wind and a sharper computer each time and one to three stars for the hit points you keep. Choose an easy, normal or hard computer for a quick best-of-three, or hand the screen to a friend for two players. Drag on the field to aim, use the sliders or the keys, and press FIRE. Your progress is saved on your device.

FAQ
How do I aim?
Drag on the field: the angle and power follow your finger or mouse. You can also use the Angle and Power sliders, the plus and minus buttons, or the keys: Up and Down for the angle, Left and Right for the power. Then press FIRE.
What does the wind do?
It pushes the shell sideways while it flies. The arrow at the top shows the direction and the number the strength. The wind drifts a little every turn, so check it before each shot.
What are heavy shells and triple shots?
The heavy shell hits harder and digs a wider crater, but you only have three per round. The triple shot sends three smaller shells a few degrees apart, two per round. The normal shell never runs out.
Can I play with a friend?
Yes. Choose 2 players on the start screen: both of you share the screen and take turns, best of three rounds. Against the computer you can pick easy, normal or hard.
Is Artillery Duel free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. It runs on phones, tablets and computers. Drag on the field to aim, or use the Angle and Power sliders and the plus and minus buttons. Tap FIRE to shoot.
