How to play Plunder Deck
Plunder Deck is a roguelike card game for quick sessions. Nine cards lie face up and your captain is one of them. Walk onto a neighbouring card to resolve it: every enemy costs you its number (armor first) and pays the same in gold, elixirs heal, armor soaks hits, spikes hurt only while they are up, and barrels hide a surprise card.
The cards behind you slide after you and one new card enters, so every step shapes the table. Chests open with a lock-picking game: swing the needle round, push the green pins and avoid the red ones. Loot from chests brings bombs, lightning, doublers, clovers and a skull that turns the whole table into coins. A boss turns up every dozen steps and grows stronger each time.
Bank the gold you earn to unlock new captains and a bigger 4x4 table, and pack one-voyage supplies before you sail.
Controls
Click a neighbouring card, use arrows/WASD or swipe. Space fires the lock needle, P or Esc pauses, M mutes.

FAQ
How do I move?
Tap or click a card next to the captain, swipe, or use the arrow keys or WASD. You always walk onto the card you pick.
How do fights work?
The number on an enemy is the damage it deals when you walk onto it. Armor soaks it first, then life. You always win a fight you survive; if the number is as large as your life plus armor, you lose.
What do the spikes do?
Spikes switch between up and down with every step. They only hurt while they are up.
How does the chest lock work?
A needle swings round a ring of pins. Fire it at green pins to push them; push every green pin to open the chest. A red pin blows the chest up and costs 1 life.
What do video buttons do?
After a short optional video you can double the gold of a voyage, or get one supply item for free.
Is Plunder Deck free?
