How to play Island Putt

Island Putt is a top-down mini golf course on a sunny tropical island. Pull back anywhere on the screen like a slingshot (or use the arrow keys) and let go to putt. The farther you pull, the harder the ball goes.

Eighteen hand-built holes ramp up from a straight practice lane to bumper alleys, speed pads, frozen ponds, rotating windmills, sliding gates and a lagoon finale. Sand slows the ball, ice lets it slide, water sends it back with a penalty stroke, and a ball that is too fast will roll right over the cup, so a gentle touch matters.

Every hole has a par and a stroke limit. Finish the round, compare your total with par and come back for a better score. Stuck on a tricky hole? Watch an optional video to skip it. Your round progress and best score are saved on your device.

Controls

Mouse: press anywhere, drag back and release to putt. Keyboard: Left/Right aim, Up/Down power, Space or Enter to hit. R restart hole, M mute, P or Esc pause.

Touch and drag back anywhere on the screen, then lift your finger to putt. A longer pull means a harder hit.

FAQ

How do I hit the ball?

Press anywhere on the course, drag away from the direction you want to go and release. The longer the pull, the harder the hit. With a keyboard use the arrow keys to aim and set power, then press Space.

Why did my ball roll over the hole?

A ball that is moving too fast cannot drop in. Hit it softer so it reaches the cup slowly, or let it slow down on the sand.

What happens when the ball falls in the water?

It goes back to where you hit it from and you get one penalty stroke.

Can I skip a hard hole?

After a few strokes a Skip button appears. Watching a short optional video skips the hole and scores it at par plus two.

Is Island Putt free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. It runs on phones, tablets and computers. Touch and drag back anywhere on the screen, then lift your finger to putt. A longer pull means a harder hit.
