How to play Sky Shmup
Sky Shmup is a vertical shooter. Your plane fires by itself, so you only steer: drag a finger, move the mouse or use WASD and the arrow keys. Each stage sends six waves of enemy planes in V lines, columns, weaving chains, U-turn swoopers and divers, then gunners and a heavy bomber, before a huge boss with three attack phases.
Shoot down a whole red group to make it drop a power-up: a star raises your weapon from a single shot up to an eight-bullet spread, a shield absorbs one hit, a bomb clears the screen of bullets, wingmen join you for a while and a heart gives an extra life. Chain quick kills for a score multiplier up to x5 and collect gold coins.
Between runs, spend coins in the Hangar on two more planes (a fast Hornet and a tough Bulldog) and on upgrades for starting power, lives, bombs and coin magnet. Five scenery themes, from open sea to a lava field, repeat as the enemies get tougher. Optional videos can revive you, add a life or double your coins. Progress is saved on your device.
Controls
Mouse: move the pointer, the plane follows and shoots by itself. Keyboard: WASD or arrows. B or Space: bomb. P or Esc: pause. M: sound.

FAQ
How do I get better weapons?
Shoot down a whole group of red planes: the last one drops a star. Each star raises your weapon level, up to five. Being hit lowers it by one.
What does the bomb do?
It clears all enemy bullets and damages every enemy on screen, including the boss. You start with two and can pick up more.
What are coins for?
Coins from kills and runs buy the Hornet and Bulldog planes and upgrades in the Hangar.
Do the videos matter?
They are optional. A video can revive you once per run, add a life after a stage or double the coins of a run; there is always a normal button beside it.
Is Sky Shmup free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.
Can I play on my phone?
