How to play Micro Racer
Micro Racer is a top-down toy-car racing game played on giant tabletops. Your little car drives itself, so you only steer left and right and brake when a bend comes up: tap the brake in a turn and the car slides into a drift. Three rivals with their own colours race you for three laps on six tracks: a breakfast table with bowls and mugs, a desk with erasers and tacks, a sandbox full of pebbles, a bath with slippery soap puddles, an oily workbench and a toy room with building blocks.
Gold coins lie on the road, yellow boost pads fire you forward, and the barrier along the track bounces you back (with a lost second or two). Leave the road and the shoulder slows you down hard. Finish in the top three to unlock the next track; every race pays coins by place plus the coins you picked up.
Spend the coins in the garage on four different cars (Red Dart, Blue Bolt, Green Gripper, Gold Hopper) and on five levels each of engine and tyre upgrades. Your best lap and best place on every track are saved on your device, and the rivals get quicker from track to track, so there is always a faster lap to find.
Controls
Left / Right or A / D: steer. Down, S or Space: brake and drift. R: back on the track. P or Esc: pause. The car accelerates by itself.

How do I steer?
Use the left and right arrow keys or A and D, or the two arrow buttons on a phone. The car accelerates by itself. Hold Down, S, Space or the square button to brake; braking while you steer makes the car drift through a bend.
How do I unlock the next track?
Finish a race in the top three. The first track is open from the start, and every track after it opens when you get on the podium on the one before.
What are the coins for?
Every race pays coins by finishing place plus the gold coins you drive over. Spend them in the garage on new cars and on engine and tyre upgrades. You can also watch an optional video to double the coins after a race.
What if my car gets stuck?
Press R (or just wait a moment): the car is put back on the track, facing the right way. Hitting the barrier or an obstacle costs speed, so brake early in tight bends.
Is Micro Racer free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.
Can I play on my phone?
