How to play Code Breaker
The computer hides a row of coloured pegs. Fill a row with your guess, press Check, and read the markers: a white marker means one peg has the right colour in the right place, a black marker means a right colour in the wrong place. Use them to work out the code before you run out of rows.
Pick Easy (4 pegs, 5 colours, no repeats), Classic, Hard (5 pegs, 7 colours) or Expert (6 pegs, 8 colours, 12 rows). The Daily mode gives everyone the same code for the date and keeps your winning streak. Wins earn coins; spend a coin on a hint that reveals one peg of the hidden code.
A symbol on every colour can be switched on to help colour-blind players. Progress, coins, best scores and settings are saved on your device. The game runs in the browser with no download and no account.

FAQ
What do the white and black markers mean?
A white marker is a peg with the right colour in the right place. A black marker is a right colour in the wrong place. The markers do not say which peg they belong to.
Can a colour appear twice in the code?
In Easy mode never. In Classic, Hard, Expert and Daily a colour can repeat.
How does the daily code work?
Everyone gets the same code on the same date. Win it on consecutive days to build a streak. A won daily code cannot be replayed that day.
How do hints and coins work?
Every win earns coins. A hint costs one coin and shows one hidden peg, up to two hints per round. With no coins you can watch a short video for a hint.
Is Code Breaker free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. It runs on phones, tablets and computers. Tap a colour, tap a slot to change it, then tap the big Check button. The Hint button reveals one peg.
