How to play Blast Maze
Blast Maze is a bomb-placing arcade maze with endless levels. Every level is a new 13 by 11 arena of fixed stone pillars and breakable crates. Drop a bomb, step away, and its cross-shaped blast breaks the nearest crate in each direction and defeats any monster caught in the flames. Bombs set each other off, so one well-placed blast can start a chain.
Crates hide power-ups: an extra bomb, a longer blast, speed, a kick that sends bombs sliding, a shield that absorbs one hit, and a rare extra life. Under one crate waits the exit. It only opens once every monster is gone, so hunt them down: wobbly blobs, fast spikers, chasing sprites and wisps that float through crates. Every fifth level a big boss with several hit points guards the maze and drops bombs of its own.
You start with three lives and three minutes per level. Points come from crates, power-ups, monsters and a time bonus when you clear a level. Your best score and level are saved on your device.
Controls
Arrow keys or WASD to move, Space (or Z) drops a bomb, P pauses.
Drag the on-screen stick to move and tap the round bomb button to drop a bomb.
FAQ
How do I defeat monsters?
Drop a bomb where a monster will walk, step out of the blast line and let the flames reach it. Chasing sprites keep out of blast zones, so cut them off in a corridor or set a chain of bombs.
Where is the exit?
Under one of the crates, usually far from where you start. Break crates until you see the round hatch. It opens when the last monster is gone.
What do the power-ups do?
Bomb gives one more bomb at a time, flame lengthens the blast, the double arrow makes you faster, the kick lets you push bombs, the shield absorbs one hit for 12 seconds and the heart is an extra life.
What happens when I lose all lives?
The run ends and your score is saved. You can watch an optional video to continue once with one more life, or start again.
