How to play Dungeon Grid
Dungeon Grid is a short turn-based roguelike. Every floor is a small 9 by 9 grid that you explore in the dark: you only see what your light reaches, and walls block your sight. Each step you take is a turn, and every monster moves right after you.
Walk into a monster to hit it. Sleeping monsters take double damage, so you can sneak up for a one-hit kill or tiptoe past. Slimes are slow, bats flutter, archers shoot along straight lines, and brutes wind up a heavy swing that you can dodge by stepping away. Grab coins, potions and bombs, find keys to open chests, and avoid the spike traps.
Level up to choose a perk: more health, a sharper sword, armor, a bigger lantern or soft boots that keep sleepers asleep. Reach the stairs on each floor, survive eight floors and defeat the Warden. Every run is a new dungeon, and the daily dungeon is the same for everyone that day. Coins you earn buy permanent upgrades at the camp. Your progress is saved on your device.

FAQ
What can I see in the dark?
Only tiles inside your light radius with a clear line of sight. Walls block sight. Tiles you have seen stay on the map, dimmed.
How do sleeping monsters work?
Most monsters start asleep. A hit on a sleeper does double damage. Walking within two tiles can wake them, unless you take the Soft boots perk.
What are keys for?
Chests are locked. Find a key on the same floor, walk into the chest and you get a random reward: sword, shield, heart, potions, bombs or gold.
What do coins do?
Gold you carry turns into coins when the run ends. Spend coins at the camp on permanent upgrades such as more health, a starting potion or bomb, and a brighter lantern.
Is Dungeon Grid free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. It runs on phones, tablets and computers. Swipe to move or attack. Tap a tile to walk there. Buttons: potion, bomb (then tap a tile) and wait.
